I Have Compiled A Roster Of The People Who Served In VAL-4. There Are Over 700 Names On The List - 142 Of Them Were Plankowners. If You Know Of Anybody That I Missed Or Notice Any Errors, Please Let Me Know. The Names Come From A Variety Of Sources, With Most Of Them Coming From Information The Navy Provided After I Made A Freedom Of Information Request. (The Navy Sent Over 80 Pages Of BUPERS "Enlisted Distribution And Verification Reports", NAVPERS "Officer Distribution Control Reports" And Squadron "Personnel Diarys") Terry Phillips (Plankowner PN) Provided Several Rosters From The Early Days That Were Instrumental In Completing The Plankowner List. Other Names Came From The Cruise Book, The Decommissioning Ceremony Program, Larry Hone's Officer Roster And Kit Lavell's Book "The Flying Black Ponies".

I Hope These Lists Stimulate Some Brain Cells So That We Can Find As Many Squadron Members As Possible.
